as all music genres, "psychedelic music" is a weird vague term that makes you sound insane when trying to explain it. the genre tries to mimic the effects of being on psychedelic drugs, but that is hard to describe when you've never taken any (i haven't), and those that have can't right now because they're talking to god. to put it as simply as i can, psychedelic music makes everything feel bendy and spacey and dynamic; you know it when you hear it.

i don't really know where i developed my affinity for psychedelic themes, it is one of the mysteries of the lottery of life, but generally my favorite music tends to be linked to this genre.

and just to reiterate; i'm a sober man, neva dun psychedelics in my life. the only times i was under any influence were admittedly a few times through alcohol until i experienced a hangover for the first time (how do people not stop after this?), and one time when i tried marijuana and thought i was about to die.

maybe it is square-ish, but simply said - no thanks... BAPHOMET! i prefer to trudge through life grumblingly aware of reality the whole time.

though, who knows? maybe one day somebody will slingshot a small psilocybin mushroom into my mouth as i'm eating something and i'll grow twice my size like mario.
...or i suppose since it's small, i'd turn really tiny.

or choke on it.
